Malta secures qualification for Euro Beach Soccer League Promotion Final

The Malta National Beach Soccer Team has secured qualification for the Euro Beach Soccer League Promotion Final that will be held in Viareggio, Italy in September.

This comes after the team, lead by Coach Marco Casarsa, put on impressive performances in Division B of the Euro Beach Soccer League at Castellammare di Stabia over the weekend, securing third place following a historic first win in the competition against Norway.

The match was followed by two defeats against Romania and Kazakhstan, during which the team produced formidable displays, yet were edged out 6-2 and 5-4, respectively.

As a result, Malta will now take part in the Promotion Final in Viareggio, with an opportunity to secure promotion to Division A of the competition.

Aside from Malta, the other teams which qualified for the Promotion Final include Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Belgium, as well as Kazakhstan and Romania, two of the three teams Malta faced in Division B.

The teams will be split into two groups of three teams each, with the winners of each group securing promotion to Division A.
