2028 FIFA Futsal World Cup European Qualifiers draw held

The draw for the 2026/28 UEFA European Qualifying of the 2028 FIFA Futsal World Cup was held on Friday morning.

The draw was held at the UEFA Headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, with 48 UEFA national associations having entered the competition.

Malta, placed in Pot three, was drawn in Group A together with Denmark, the host country, as well as Andorra and Scotland.

The top two teams in each group progress to the Main Round to join the 24 highest-ranked entrants.

The Preliminary Round of the competition will be played between 6th and 15th April 2026.

Mark Marlow, Director of the Malta Futsal National Team; Manuel Cini, Team Manager and Mark Attard, Press Officer, represented the Malta FA during the draws.
