12-player squad called up for Euro Beach Soccer League Promotion Final

Malta Beach Soccer National Team Coach Marco Casarsa has called up a 12-player squad ahead of the upcoming Euro Beach Soccer League Promotion Final.

The team secured a spot in the Promotion Final after impressive displays in Division B of the Euro Beach Soccer League at Castellammare di Stabia in July, securing third place after a historic first win in the competition against Norway.

While this was followed by two defeats against Romania and Kazakhstan, the team produced formidable displays during those matches.

Therefore, Malta will now play in the Promotion Final in Viareggo, Italy, with an opportunity to secure promotion to Division A of the competition. Malta will first face Kazakhstan on Wednesday 10th September, with kick-off at 12:45hrs. This will be followed by another match, this time against Romania, on Thursday 11th September, with kick-off also at 12:45hrs.

The matches represent an opportunity for Coach Casarsa’s team to continue building on the positives of Division B, pushing for a spot in Division A.
