October and pink is everyone’s new obsession! October is breast awareness month and that’s why we saw all the team captains in the domestic league matches wear pink captain armbands!

But why did the Malta FA feel that this important? And what does wearing a pink captain armband has to do with it?

It is all about joining forces to raise awareness.  The Pink October campaign in malta is driven by the Marigold Foundation.  The Malta FA and the FSR Department have made themselves available to lend a hand in organising this year’s campaign launch at the Centenary Hall.

Furthermore besides raising breast cancer awareness in the form of a pink captain armband, representatives of the Marigold Foundation flocked to the stadium to raise funds to support the cause.

The Department of Women's Football, also joined in forces with Assikura, the main sponsor for the domestic league and launched a social media campaign to remind everyone that they should get checked regularly.
