For the second time in their history, and following their success in 2024, Italy have once again won Europe's most prestigious Under-17 tournament. This year's edition was staged in Estonia, with the final taking place at the Lilleküla Stadium in Tallinn.
In front of more than 7,000 spectators, the Italian national team, coached by Daniele Franceschini, defeated Belgium in a penalty shoot-out. The match ended 1-1 after regular time, with Belgium taking the lead through substitute Ojea in the 85th minute. Italy levelled the score in the 90th minute thanks to a penalty converted by Fugazzola.

With no extra time played, the match went directly to penalties, where the Italians emerged victorious 4-3 to be crowned UEFA European Under-17 champions.
Following the match, Malta FA President Bjorn Vassallo, who also serves as Chairman of the UEFA Youth and Amateur Committee and is responsible for the organisation of this tournament, presented medals to the match officials and both finalist teams, before handing the trophy to the winners.
