





The draws for the Second Qualifying Round of the 2026/27 UEFA competitions were held on Wednesday 17th June 2026, with Maltese teams discovering their paths.
They were held at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. These followed the First Qualifying Round draws that took place on Tuesday.
Floriana FC will face Irish side Shamrock Rovers FC in the First Qualifying Round of the UEFA Champions League, while Marsaxlokk FC and Hamrun Spartans FC will face Armenia’s FC Pyunik and Faroe Islands’ NSÍ Runavík respectively in the UEFA Conference League.
Valletta FC, who have made it into the UEFA Conference League due to their Meridianbet FA Trophy triumph last season, will go straight into the Second Qualifying Round.
UEFA Champions League Second Qualifying Round Draw
The first draw that took place was for the Second Qualifying Round of the UEFA Champions League.
The winner between Floriana and Shamrock Rovers will face the winner between Armenia’s FC Ararat-Armenia and Latvia’s Riga FC. The matches will be played on 21/22nd July and 28/29th July 2026.
The 2026/27 edition of the UEFA Champions League will come to a close on 5th June 2027, when the Final is played at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid.

UEFA Conference League Second Qualifying Round Draw
The losing team between Floriana and Shamrock Rovers will drop to the UEFA Conference League, and will face the losing team between FK Kauno Žalgiris (LTU) and FC Drita (KOS).
Valletta, who will be entering the competition from the Second Qualifying Round, have been drawn against Poland’s Raków Częstochowa.
Should Marsaxlokk manage to beat Pyunik, then they will face Hungarian side Debreceni VSC. If Hamrun progress past NSÍ Runavík, then they will taken on FC Koper from Slovenia.
The Second Qualifying Round matches will take place on 23rd and 30th July 2026.
The Final of the 2026/27 edition of the UEFA Conference League will take place on 2nd June 2027 at Istanbul’s Beşiktaş Park.
