2026/27 UEFA Competitions First Qualifying Round Draws Held

The draws for the First Qualifying Round of the 2026/27 UEFA competitions were held on Tuesday 16th June 2026 at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
Floriana FC were in the UEFA Champions League draw, while Marsaxlokk FC and Hamrun Spartans FC were in the UEFA Conference League draw.
Valletta FC, who won the Meridianbet FA Trophy, will be in the draw for the Second Qualifying Round of the UEFA Europa League, taking place on Wednesday 17th June 2026.
UEFA Champions League Draws
Floriana, champions of the YoHealth Malta Premier, took part in the UEFA Champions League draw.
In the First Qualifying Round, Floriana have been drawn against Republic of Ireland side Shamrock Rovers FC.
The two-legged ties will take place on 7/8th July and 14/15th July 2026. Exact match dates and kick-off times will be announced by UEFA at a later date.
UEFA Conference League Draws
Marsaxlokk and Hamrun Spartans were placed in the First Qualifying Round of the UEFA Conference League following their domestic league performance during the season.
In the draw, Marsaxlokk were drawn against Armenian side FC Pyunik, while Hamrun will face Faroese club NSÍ Runavík.
The two-legged ties will take place on 9th and 16th July 2026.
Similar to the UEFA Champions League matches, the UEFA Conference League matches’ dates and kick-off times will be announced by UEFA at a later date.
