Malta U16 National Team faces Lithuania in a friendly double header

Malta Under 16 National Team Coach Andrea Vella has chosen a final list of 23 players ahead of the two international friendly matches against Lithuania. 

Malta U16 team have a friendly double header scheduled for Sunday 12th of February (kick-off 14:00hrs) and Tuesday 14th February (kick-off 17:00hrs).  The two games will be played at the Centenary Stadium in Ta’ Qali and will be live streamed on the  Malta FA youtube channel

The Call-Up

Coach Vella has included five new faces in the squad compared to the November call up, when Malta played a double friendly against Lebanon on home soil.  Included once again in squad we find Melita goalkeeper James Sissons, and fellow team mate at Melita Nathan Grech.  Vella opted to include also Floriana’s Dejan Farrugia and Nathan Zerafa together with San Gwann midfielder Liam Micallef.

Pietà Hotspurs are the team mostly represented (5), with Valletta following closely with 4 players.  4 players are coning from Floriana whilst 3 players are coming from each of the following teams; Birkirkara and Melita.  The rest of the selection is made up of players from Zurrieq (1), Luxol St Andrews (1), San Gwann (1) and Sliema Wanderers (1).
