Futsal U19's in multiple Gibraltar friendlies at the weekend

On Thursday the Malta Futsal Under 19 Team has flown to Gibraltar for multiple friendly encounters against the hosts, matches scheduled for Saturday and Sunday late this week.

The team led by coach Carlo Scicluna joined by his Assistant Cedric Sciberras and Head of Futsal within the Malta FA Mark Marlow, is nearing its first-ever official participation in a UEFA U19 Futsal Qualifying group with preparations ahead of this tournament ramping up swiftly.

Malta will fly to Lithuania next month for this UEFA qualifying tournament, participating in a group also comprising, England and Estonia.

Meanwhile, for this four-day stay in Gibraltar containing these two friendly matches, coaches Anicic and Scicluna have selected fourteen players, as indicated in the list below.

Goalkeepers – Matthias Borg (Lija Athletic FC), Jake Huber (no club), Zeon Montanaro (Sliema Wanderers FC).

Outfield – Jean Paul Muscat  (Mellieħa SC), Kubilay Karadol (Balzan FC), Denzel Camilleri (Floriana FC), Nathan Balzan (Swieqi United FC), Ivin Gatt (Pieta’ Hotspurs FC), Keiron Debono (Mtarfa FC), Shiraz Attard (Qormi FC), Collin Sammut (San Ġwann FC), Deyan Pace (Gżira United FC), Amin Louati (Mellieħa SC), Mason Agius (Mosta FC).

Gibraltar friendly on Saturday kicks off at 16:00h, and the second match is penciled for a 13:30h kick-off, both matches are scheduled to be played at the TerCentenary Sports Hall at Bayside Sports Complex in Gibraltar, with a capacity of seven hundred people.
