In a heartwarming display of inclusivity and community engagement, young residents of the Richmond Foundation had the unique opportunity to participate in a football session held at Centenary Stadium. This special event, which took place on Wednesday, was organized as part of the UEFA Foundation-funded project "Being There" and saw the Malta U19 team utilizing the same training facilities.

The session brought together young players from the Richmond Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting and empowering individuals facing various challenges. The football session served as a platform for fostering social integration, breaking down barriers, and promoting inclusivity through the universal language of sports.

Centenary Stadium, provided the perfect backdrop for this collaborative initiative. The pitches, which were used the U19 teams during tournament on Tuesday and Thursday, were made available for this special occasion, further enhancing the experience for the young participants.

The UEFA Foundation's "Being There" project played a crucial role in making this event possible. With its mission to leverage football as a tool for positive social change, the foundation provided the necessary funding and support to bring together the Richmond Foundation and the Malta U19 Championship. By organizing such activities, the project aims to create an inclusive environment where young individuals facing difficult circumstances can feel valued and empowered.

As an additional highlight, the young players from both the Richmond Foundation will have the opportunity to participate in the upcoming Green Day activity at Tony Bezzina Stadium on Friday. This activity further exemplifies the commitment of the "Being There" project to fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared experiences among participants.

The collaboration between the Richmond Foundation, the Malta U19 UEFA Championship, and the UEFA Foundation's "Being There" project demonstrates the power of football in uniting communities and promoting social inclusion. Through initiatives like these, young individuals are given the chance to engage in meaningful experiences, develop friendships, and build a brighter future for themselves.
