In a bid to generate excitement and support for the upcoming UEFA Under-19 Championship, the Inħobb il-Football Foundation's Regional Hubs organised an event at the Centenary Stadium. The event, held yesterday, aimed to attract as many people as possible to the stadium and featured last year's U12 and U13 regional hubs players who will be advancing to the U13 and U14 categories next season. With 45 participants in attendance, the event proved to be a thrilling two hour of football activities.

The administration and staff of the Regional Hubs went above and beyond to ensure the event's success. Their meticulous planning and execution resulted in a fantastic event for all involved. The event featured various games and a football tennis tournament, providing an engaging and interactive experience for the young participants.

Parents of the aspiring footballers were also invited to witness their children's skills on the field.

Adding a touch of stardom to the occasion, the event offered an extraordinary opportunity for the children to meet football idol, Zvonimir Boban. The renowned Croatian former professional player, who had an illustrious career at AC Milan, graciously participated in the event. Boban even took his turn playing football alongside the excited youngsters, creating lasting memories for everyone involved.

Beyond the festivities, the event also had the additional objective of drumming up support for the UEFA Under-19 Championship final. By inviting families to witness the final match between Italy and Portugal, the Malta FA aimed to ignite passion and enthusiasm for the sport among the local community. It was a chance for young football enthusiasts to witness high-level competition firsthand and be inspired by the skills and talent on display.

The successful regional hubs event owes its triumph to the commendable efforts of the administration and staff of the Regional Hubs. Their dedication and hard work in organizing the event deserve special recognition. Their commitment to promoting grassroots football and providing opportunities for young players to thrive is crucial in developing the future stars of Maltese football.
