Referee Philip Farrugia to officiate UEFA Conference League match

Maltese official Philip Farrugia has been selected to take charge of a League Phase match in the UEFA Conference League.

FIFA Referee Philip Farrugia will be officiating the UEFA Conference League match between Lincoln Red Imps (GIB) and HNK Rijeka (CRO). He will be assisted by FIFA Assistant Referees Duncan Sultana and Jurgen Spiteri, with Elite Referee Alex Johnson serving as Fourth Official.

VAR will be in use for this match, with Gianluca Aureliano (ITA) and Fabio Maresca (ITA) serving as Video Assistant Referee and Assistant Video Assistant Referee, respectively.

The match will take place on Thursday 6th November 2025 at the Europa Sports Stadium, Gibraltar, with kick-off at 21:00hrs CET.
