New Coach Education Courses by the Malta FA in 2024

The Malta FA Coach Education Department will be organising 2 specialised coaching courses in the first 2 months of the new year namely the Goalkeepers’ Coach Course Level 1 and the Match Analysis Course. 

Both these courses are intended to continue raising the bar in local football and among local coaches.

The Goalkeepers’ Coach Course Level 1 is aimed at those coaches who intend to specialize in coaching goalkeepers or who want to increase their knowledge in this interesting area of football coaching.

The course will be spread over 7 modules of 4 hours each between February and April 2024.

Coaches who will complete this course will be able to coach youth goalkeepers until the age of 13.

This course and a UEFA C Diploma are eventually essential for the enrolment into the UEFA Goalkeepers B Diploma. Candidates eligible for the Goalkeepers’ Coach Course Level 1 are the following:

•  Coaches with a UEFA C Diploma

or

•  Goalkeepers with more than 100 appearances in the Malta Premier League, Challenge League, Gozo Football League, Women’s Football League, or equivalent abroad.

or

•  Goalkeepers with more than 160 appearances in the Malta Amateur League or equivalent.

The Match Analysis Course is scheduled to start in the second week of February and is aimed towards football coaches with a minimum of a UEFA C Diploma who are interested in pursuing a career in match analysis.

This course gives me the credentials to work as a match analyst with clubs in the Maltese Premier League and Challenge League. Candidates eligible for the Match Analysis Course are the following:

•  Coaches with a UEFA C Diploma

and

•  A pass in the pre-course test

The fee for this course is €850.
