National League Draws 2024/25 Announced

The National League draws were held yesterday, establishing the first matchday and the sequence of fixtures for all clubs across the respective divisions.

BOV Challenge League

This season's BOV Challenge League will feature 16 teams. Matchday 1 will see Sirens FC clashing with Valletta FC, both of which were relegated from the Premier League last season. Another notable fixture is the newly promoted Mgarr United FC taking on Gudja United FC, which was also relegated from the Premier League.

All teams will play 15 games in the first round, after which the top 8 teams will form a Top 8 Group, while the remaining 8 clubs will form a Play-Out Group. The top two teams from the Top 8 Group will be promoted, while the bottom two teams from the Play-Out Group will be relegated.

Assikura Women’s League

The Assikura Women's League, featuring eight teams, will begin with standout matches, including Champions Birkirkara FC facing San Gwann FC and Mgarr United FC locking horns with Mtarfa FC. The other fixtures are Hibernians FC vs Swieqi United FC and Valletta FC vs Lija Athletic FC.

IZIBET National Amateur League I

The IZIBET National Amateur League I, with 16 teams, will see each team playing 15 games in the first round. The top six teams will advance to the Top 6 Group, while the remaining teams will form the Play-Out Group. The top two teams from the Top 6 Group will earn promotion, while the bottom two teams from the Play-Out Group will face relegation.

IZIBET National Amateur League II

Comprising 10 teams, the IZIBET National Amateur League II will have each team play two rounds for 18 games. The bottom two teams will need to re-apply for the next season. The top four teams will enter a final round, with the top two being promoted to the IZIBET National Amateur League I.

National Youth Leagues

Yesterday, the full schedule for the National Youth Leagues was also drawn, outlining an exciting season ahead for the young talents.
