Malta to take part in FIFAe World Cup 2025 ft eFootball™ Console Regional Qualifiers

Malta’s journey in the FIFAe World Cup 2025 ft eFootball™ Console Regional Qualifiers is set to commence this week.
The FIFAe World Cup 2025 is an official esports competition that is organised by FIFA and will be held in Saudi Arabia in December 2025. Top players from around the world take part in this competition, with matches being played in a two versus two format in the Console Category, and one versus one in the Mobile Category.

The Road to the Finals takes place through Qualifiers according to the different regions the countries are located in. Each region features a competitive setup that is tailored to its participation numbers.
Malta has been drawn in Group A of the European Group Stage, where it is joined by Türkiye, England, San Marino, Iceland, Norway, the Czech Republic, and Kazakhstan.
During these Qualifiers, Malta will be represented by eFootball players Malcolm Said and Osbert Hili.
Out of each group in the European Group Stage, the top four will progress to a double elimination bracket, with three qualifying spots from the region being up for grabs. In total, 11 national teams will be qualifying for the FIFAe World Cup 2025 ft eFootball™, joining the host nation, Saudi Arabia.

The Group Stage matches will be taking place over Thursday 25th and Friday 26th September 2025, with the eventual Knockout Stage to determine the three qualified nations being held on Saturday 27th and Sunday 27th September 2025.
