MFA Statement: National Youth League games

Reference is made to two separate incidents that took place in the National Youth League, one in a match between Sirens FC and Fgura United, and another between Tarxien Rainbows FC and Pembroke Athleta, both on Tuesday 1st October 2024.

The Malta FA would like to confirm that the match between Sirens and Fgura, held at the Sirens Stadium, was abandoned in the 74th minute.

The relevant bodies will be investigating the reports made by the respective match officials during both incidents.

The Malta FA takes all claims of racism very seriously and upholds a strict zero-tolerance policy against such behaviour.
