Malta FA organises U8 Futsal Festival as part of 125th Anniversary Celebrations

The Basketball Pavillion in Ta’ Qali was brimming with activity on Saturday morning as it was turned into a futsal court to host the Under-8s Futsal Festival.

The event, forming part of the Malta Football Association’s 125th Anniversary Celebrations, saw over 100 children from different nurseries take part.

The children, coming from 11 different nurseries, were split into 11 teams, and took part in a fun-filled and informative session to get a feel of what futsal is like.

Malta FA Senior Vice President and Head of 125th Anniversary Competitions Committee Dr Matthew Paris was present, together with Head of Futsal and Beach Soccer Mark Marlow.

In attendance, there was also former Futsal National Team captain Mark Zammit, as well as current Futsal National Team goalkeeper Clint Mifsud, who provided their insight, allowing the children to learn from those that have experienced it all.

The Malta FA would like to express gratitude to the Malta Basketball Association for allowing it to utilise its premises and for helping to organise such a successful event.
