Luke Bartolo and Sliema W. are this year's winners of the BOV ePremier League

The BOV ePremier has come to an end with Sliema Wanderers represented by gamer Luke Bartolo emerging winners.

In a highly contested final, Bartolo crossed swords with Santa Lucia who were represented by Gianluca Sant.

The latter has emerged successful in winning the title twice in the last two years in this ever-growing BOV ePremier League.

Back to Sunday's final, that was a two-legged affair between Sliema Wanderers and Santa Lucia with extra time entailed after the second leg, due to an equal 2-2 aggregate result in normal time.

The winning goal by Bartolo was netted towards the end of this final, enabling him to attain this ultimate prize by the skin of his teeth.

Meanwhile, representing Santa Lucia, Sant secured the second spot after this narrow defeat against Bartolo, whereas Gżira United represented by Duane Mercieca in this virtual Championship secured the third spot.

Luke Bartolo barring the prestige of the title also pocketed whopping prize money of €5,000, moreover, this success will entitle him to represent Malta in the FIFAe World Cup Playoffs.
