Futsal Team to face Switzerland, Gibraltar and Scotland in next Qualifier

The Malta Futsal Team will play in Group C in the Euro 2026 Preliminary Round as draws were pitted late on Thursday.
All penciled for action between the 8th and 17th of April, with Switzerland, Gibraltar, and Scotland, all drawn in the same group as Malta.
The top two sides in the group will progress to the main round. The host of this four-team mini-tournament is still to be determined.
Preparations meanwhile for this hugely anticipated competition for the boys started to ramp up earlier this week with a four-day training camp in home surroundings at the National Sport School in Pembroke.
All this leading up to the Futsal Week February Cup that will commence this coming Sunday 28th of January up till Sunday 4th of February 2024, and culminating in the UEFA Qualifying Group C Preliminary Round for Malta in April.
Meanwhile, National Team coach Gabriel Dobre earlier this week has announced his selection of players, a total of 15 he's currently working with, undergoing rigorous training ahead of this hectic period rolling for the Malta Futsal Team.
The list of selected players reads as follows -
Goalkeepers - Clint Mifsud, and Brandon Debono.
Outfield players - Celino Alves, Michael Borg, Andre Cachia, Giancarlo Sammut, Andre Ciancio, Steven Camilleri, Mark Zammit, Maicon Da Silva, Andy Mangion, Karl Luke Schembri, Cleaven Portelli, Marrwan Telisi, Collin Sammut.
