On Tuesday, the draws for the First and Second Qualifying Rounds of the UEFA Women’s Champions League were held.
The two qualifying rounds are played in the form of mini-tournaments, with semi-finals, a final, and also a third-place match (in the case of four-team groups). These are all single-leg ties, and hosted by one of the participating clubs.

Swieqi United were in the draw following their historic Assikura Women’s League win, their first-ever league title. The team, coached by Dorianne Theuma, will be making their first appearance in a European club competition.
The Maltese champions were drawn in Group 2, and they will face Moldova’s Agarista CSF Anenii Noi 2020 for the semi-final. The group also contains Slovakia’s Spartak Myjava and Montenegro’s ŽFK Budućnost. Should Swieqi beat the Moldovan side, they will face the winner of the other semi-final.
The semi-finals will be held on 30th July 2025. The final and third-place play-off will be played on 3rd August 2025.

The winners of the respective groups will then progress to the Second Qualifying Round, where they will form part of the unseeded teams for that draw.
Should Swieqi make it through the First Qualifying Round, they will then face Ukraine’s FC Vorskla Poltava in Group 5 of the Second Qualifying Round.
