The Malta FA, in conjunction with the Malta Resuscitation Council (MRC), has organized a series of sessions aimed at training instructors who will be involved in delivering the "go and save a life" (GOAL) course to the finalists of the U19 European Championships due to take place in a few weeks' time. This initiative is part of the partnership between UEFA and the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and will address the importance of immediate medical intervention and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in the event of sudden cardiac arrest.

Our association has successfully organized two specialized courses, each accommodating 20 participants. These courses were exclusively designed for the instructors from the MRC, selected for their expertise and dedication to promoting resuscitation techniques. With their extensive knowledge and practical skills, they will effectively train the U19 teams in the life-saving practice of CPR.

The medical dept. led by Dr Daniel McKean hope that these sessions will emphasize the significance of prompt medical assistance during sudden cardiac arrest and to create an awareness that anyone can provide CPR. This critical aspect resonated with our association's mission to raise awareness and provide life-saving training.  By leveraging the influential platform of football, our association aims to create awareness and encourage people to educate themselves, take action, and ultimately save lives.
