National Amateur Cup draws held on Tuesday

The National Amateur Cup is back for another season.

Draws of the National Amateur Cup, Preliminary Round, and Round of 16 took place on Tuesday.

The Preliminary Round contains 13 matches in total, and the Round of Sixteen phase sees the introduction of Mġarr United and Gozitan sides Sannat Lions and Għarb Rangers, the fortunate trio to avoid Preliminary Round action, thereby given a bye in the opening round of matches.

The preliminary round of fixtures is scheduled to be played in the last weekend of September, therefore Friday 29^th to Sunday 1^st October.

Few eye-catching fixtures drawn up including the Gozitan derby between Munxar Falcons and Victoria Hotspurs, Xgħajra T. v Qrendi; Vittoriosa Stars rub shoulders with Pembroke Athleta, St. Georges, and Rabat Ajax go head to head, both sides playing in the second tier of local football until a few seasons ago.
