Mgarr United discover opponents for debut UEFA Women’s Champions League Qualifying campaign

Mgarr United discovered their opponents for their first-ever UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying campaign, following the First and Second Qualifying Round draws.

The draws, which took place at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, were held on Thursday 18th June 2026.

Mgarr secured their participation in the competition following their historic Assikura Women’s League triumph last season, winning the league for the first time ever.

The First Qualifying Round will take the shape of multiple mini-tournaments, with sides playing Semi-Finals before then facing off in a Final to determine who progresses to the Second Qualifying Round.

In the First Qualifying Round draw, Mgarr were drawn in Group 5, and will come up against Estonia’s Tallinna FC Flora. The winner of the match will face Slovakia side Spartak Myjava.

The Semi-Finals of the First Qualifying Round will take place on 22nd July 2026, with the Final match being played on 25th July 2026.

Should Mgarr qualify for the Second Qualifying Round, they will join Group 6, which also includes Albanian side KF Vllaznia, Cyprus' Apollon Ladies, and also the winner of Group 4 of the First Qualifying Round.
