Meridianbet FA Trophy 2025/26: Preliminary Round and Round of 32 Draws Held at Centenary Stadium

Today at Centenary Stadium, the draw for the Meridianbet FA Trophy 2025/26’s Preliminary Round and Round of 32 was conducted, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting campaign. The draws were overseen by Malta FA’s Match Operations Manager, Stewart Said, and Meridianbet’s Operations Manager, Byron Falzon, the title rights holder for the competition.

A total of 39 teams will compete in the early rounds, with Premier Teams excluded from the Preliminary Round and entering at the Round of 32. Of the 32 teams in the Round of 32, six will be seeded, based on the top six finishers from the 2024/25 Premier League season, ensuring a competitive balance as the FA Trophy competition progresses.

• Participating Teams: 39
• Premier Teams: Excluded from the Preliminary Round; join at the Round of 32
• Seeded teams: Six Premier teams seeded, the top 6 finishers of the 2024/25 Premier League season.
• 14 teams will be drawn for the Preliminary Round and the remaining 13 teams will advance directly to the Round of 32.
