Hamrun Spartans crowned BOV Premier League Champions

Hamrun Spartans were crowned BOV Premier League Champions 2022/23 in a season where they dominated and saw them mathematically clinch the top accolade in local football with 4 matches to spare.  Hamrun Spartans ended the league with 69 points.  The Spartans won 22 games, 3 games ended in a draw and they suffered one defeat.

This is Hamrun’s 9th title in their history and the second one in the last 3 years.  

Malta FA President Bjorn Vassallo together with Kenneth Farrugia, Chief Executive Officer at Bank of Valletta presented the BOV Premier League Trophy to Hamrun following the last match of the BOV Premier League 2022/2023 played at the National Stadium in Ta’ Qali.

This is the 18 th consecutive season that sees Bank of Valletta as the main sponsor of the BOV Premier League in its commitments towards good health and wellbeing in the community in which it operates.
