The National League draws for the 2025/26 season were held on Thursday, establishing the first matchday together with the sequence of fixtures for all the clubs across the divisions.

The draws were livestreamed on the Malta FA's YouTube channel and broadcast on TVMSport+.

BOV CHALLENGE LEAGUE

Just like last season, the BOV Challenge League will feature 16 teams this season.

All teams will play 15 games in the first round, after which they will be split. The top eight teams will form the Top 8 Group, while the remaining eight clubs will form a Play-Out Group. Following the second round, the top two teams from the Top 8 Group will be promoted, while the bottom two teams from the Play-Out Group will be relegated.

The first matchday of the BOV Challenge League will take place on the weekend of 13th and 14 September 2025.

Some of the opening day fixtures to look out for include the derby between recently-relegated Melita FC and Swieqi United, while newly-promoted sides Birzebbuga St Peter's FC and Vittoriosa Stars FC will be taking on Pietà Hotspurs FC and Sirens FC, respectively.

BOV AMATEUR LEAGUE I

The BOV Amateur League I will contain 14 teams this time out, a reduction in teams when compared to last season’s 16.

All of the teams will play a total of 26 games spread over two rounds, where all of the teams will play each other twice throughout the season. The top two teams at the end of the season will be promoted, while the bottom four will be relegated to the BOV Amateur League II.

The opening matchday of the BOV Amateur League I will be held on the weekend of 20th and 21st September 2025.

Promoted sides Victoria Hotspurs and Mqabba FC will be facing Pembroke Athleta FC and Qormi FC respectively on the first matchday. San Ġwann FC, who came so close to securing promotion, will be taking on recently-relegated side Senglea Athletic FC in the opening matchday.

BOV AMATEUR LEAGUE II

Since four clubs were relegated from the BOV Amateur League I last season, the BOV Amateur League II this season will have 12 teams.

All the teams will be playing 22 games across two rounds, with each team playing the others twice during the campaign. The top two teams will be promoted, while the bottom two will need to re-apply for next season.

The first matchday of the BOV Amateur League II will take place on the weekend of 20th and 21st September 2025.

The first matchday will see Kalkara United and St George's FC face off in an opening day derby, having both finished in the top half of the table last season, while Rabat Ajax FC will be taking on Għaxaq FC.
