Malta re-wrote the history books when the National Team obtained its fourth consecutive win in friendly matches by beating San Marino 3-2 in Serravalle. Malta's positive run includes the matches against Central African Republic (H) 2-1, Liechtenstein (H) 2-1, Luxembourg (A) 2-0 and yesterday's match against San Marino (A) 3-2. These last two  matches, under the guidance of National Team Coach, Pietro Ghedin.  San Marino took an  early lead with a goal from Manuel Mariani, but Malta, hit back with a Michael Mifsud equaliser for Andrei Agius to give Malta a 2-1 lead before half-time. Malta kept the upper hand after the break but Mifsud still found time to make it 3-1 with his 36th international goal in 91 matches. Danilo Rinaldi pulled one back for a final 2-3 score from a penalty in stoppage time. Ryan Camilleri made his debut in central defence alongside Andrei Agius.
