Malta's Women's team suffered yet another heavy defeat in an Elite Group FIFA Women's World Cup 2015 qualification match. Malta lost 8-0 in their home match against Iceland.
This was Malta's fifth consecutive defeat in as many matches from this qualfication group and the team is yet to manage to find the net, conceeding 29 goals in the process.
It was apparent right from the referee's initial whistle that the visitors wanted to make it clear that there will be no contest in this match, and took the leaad as early as the 2nd minute through Porsteindottir.
Iceland added three more goals through Larusdottir, Porsteindottir with a second and Brynyarsdottir to end the first half 4-0 up.
More of the same was to follow in the second part of the match and Iceland added another four goals from Porsteindottir, Frioriksdottir, Oladottir, and Bryarsdottir for an 8-0 Final Scoreline.
