Activities for local school children at the MFA faciltiies, in particular the National Stadium, are becoming more and more popular. During recent months, the Malta Football Association has promoted and organised National Stadium Tours for school children. These tours, which normally last 2 hours are replete with:Ø     Educational Information about the history, structure and administration  of the Malta Football Association;Ø     The experience of visiting the National Team changing room, properly set out as on match days, as well as a tour around the main facilities;Ø     A showing of a dvd clip tracing , very briefly, the passage from nursery to national team;Ø     Relating a healthy lifestyle to progress in and through Sport;Ø     How Sport and Academic progress can go hand in hand;Ø     A practical fun football session;Ø     A souvenir to all the students attending; This activity is turning out to be a very successful one and witness to this is the feedback that the association receives from school administrators who participate in this experience. Here's what an Assistant Head of one of the local primary schools had to say;"The beaming faces of the children on returning to school, and the innumerable positive comments and feedback given by the teachers and Learning Support Assistants accompanying the children are a guarantee that the visits were a success. The dedication and professionalism shown by your goodself and your team have made each child feel and become a protagonist. A special word of praise goes to the manner in which you all assisted and supported the children with special needs. The visits are in line with our school policy of promoting a healthy lifestyle made up of healthy eating, open spaces and physical exercise. Besides, having an inside story of our national sport is of great interest for young children and adults alike."  Ms. A. Muscat, Asst. Head, Zabbar Primary A Besides the stadium tours, the Malta Football Association is also helping out schools who may lack the facilities to hold activities for their school population, as was the recent case with the St Monica School in Gzira who held their annual sports and social activity at the Centenary Stadium, and ending the day at the nearby Adventure Park and picnic area.
