This week the Technical Centre, Coach Education Department launched a new National C course attended by 30 participants. Two National team players and several foreign players are sitting for this course in their intention to follow a future coaching career. This course is being run on a new system from the usual one as each module consists of two whole days and half day on Saturdays. This gives the participants more time to fulfill their coaching or playing duties with their clubs without missing out on any hours from the course.   This happens to be the third National C course for this season in line with the Technical Centre bid to increase the base of the coaching pyramid, to have better coaches in the nurseries and prepare a better batch of instructed coaches for future UEFA B & A courses. In two weeks time the Centre will also launch a Physical Trainers’ course being attended by 18 participants hailing from several clubs. This too is another future target for the Technical Centre, in having qualified Physical Trainers in all top divisions’ clubs. This course is a highly intense one, with high academic and coaching prerequisites. UEFA will also be sending one of its instructor, Mr. Roger Spry, to run a module in this course.
