This weekend marks the start of the BOV leagues in the three division for season 2013-14 after the Premier League lifted off in mid-August.  The prospects of another interesting campaign for all the teams involved are bright as the contestants have set their own targets, with certain teams even aiming to go beyond them. As has been the case with the 1st Division in recent years, competition is expected to be very keen as the 12 teams will battle it out till the very end. Again, the promotion issue is likely to be resolved in the very last matches. Likewise the battle to avoid relegation. The same can be said of the 14-team 2nd Division, with the issues at both ends of the table being anybody’s guess as to their outcome. The lowest division, which comprises 15 teams, is also expected to regale the contestants’ supporters with lively clashes. All the matches in these divisions are scheduled to end during the last week in April 2014 and the various venues, the Centenary, Victor Tedesco and Luxol Stadium providing the setting for the 1st Division clashes, while Luxol, Charles Abela and Sirens Stadium will be the venues of matches in the lower divisions.
