Women's Under 19s' International Debut

August 2013 is the month to be jotted down as the month which saw Malta's Women's Under 19 national team's baptism of fire on the international scene. With Coach Mark Gatt being entrusted with the responsibility to manage the local girls, Malta played two friendly matches against their counterparts from Northern Ireland, at the MFA Training Grounds in Ta' Qali, on August 28th and 30th, respectively. They were two defeats but with encouraging performances. Northern Ireland beat Malta 2-0 in the first match and with a 2-1 scoreline in the second, with substitute Jade Flask scoring the first ever goal for our U19 selection in the 79th minute from the penalty spot. Full match reports;  International Friendly Under 19 Match Malta  vs. N.
