The Malta FA has taken note of a number of statements which were issued in the recent days regarding respect for match officials. All forms of violence in football, and in all circumstances beyond that, are reprehensible. The Association aspires to and actively promotes respect at every level. Regarding the particular episodes that have taken place in our football stadia, there is a disciplinary process that must be allowed to take its course before the Association can comment further.
