Scottish FA’s Fraser Stewart animates a CPD session

The Malta FA technical centre has organised another CPD session, aimed specifically at Goalkeeper Coaches which focussed on Goalkeeper Coaching Methodology.  The importance of methodological planning in coaching goalkeepers was the focus of this CPD with the aim of improving the technical abilities and overall game performance of the goalkeeper within the team. The session was delivered by Fraser Stewart who is currently Head of Goalkeeping at the Scottish FA and also a Coach Educator within the Scottish FA.   He has held this role for the past 5 years, with the responsibility of leading both the Male and Female National Teams’ Goalkeeping programmes as well as overseeing the SFA Goalkeeping Coach Education Programme. Within his role he also has the task to mentor and develop the GK programmes in professional clubs’ academies around Scotland to ensure best practice is provided throughout the country.
