The FSR Department within the Malta FA has held a one day networking conference as part of the EU funded Skills4Sports project. Skills4Sports Project deals with the various job opportunities in football and sports in general. The ultimate aim is to encourage NEETs (no education, no employment, no training young persons) to train and learn skills related to jobs within the sports sector. Peter Busuttil, Malta FA FSR Director, explained that the project aims to address the skills gap in the sports sector through football.  He reiterated that this conference is only one of the many initiatives this project entails.  ‘8 organisations from 6 different countries (Greece, Lebanon, Palestine, Italy, Spain and Malta) were represented during today’s conference.  More so, the Malta FA has opened this conference to different stakeholders on the island and thus today’s event has continued to shed light on the diverse and innovative ways that all present, are undergoing to deal with skills gap’ continued Busuttil.  ‘The sharing of good practices is always critical to continuous improvement’, commented Peter Busuttil.  ‘The project has a duration of two and a half years’.
