MFA issues information about the MALTA vs ITALY match

MFA CEO Bjorn Vassallo today addressed the media during a press conference wherein he gave out information about the organisation of the Malta vs Italy World Cup qualifier scheduled for the 26th March 2013.  Mr.Vassallo spoke about the importance of the match and about the fact that for the first time in decades it is expected that we will have a sell-out stadium. "it is an opportunity for local fans to cherish the excitement of international football where our team is about to face one of the world's footballing giants" Bjorn Vassallo also spoke about the amount of logistical  thought and work goes behind hosting such an event, and gave out information which mostly concerrn the people who will be attending for this match. Road Access to Stadium:Access Roads around the stadium will be closed off from the evening of Monday 25th March 2013 The West Stand Car Park will be strictly reserved for MFA guests. MFA has also provided for parking arrangements for those persons who will be making use of a wheelchair and who have bought tickets for the match. These persons are to contact MFA to acquire a Parking Permit. Commuters are to observe instructions which will be issued by Police Authorities closer to the date.  Opening of Stadium:      18.30hrs  Tickets:Except for a limited number of  remaining tickets in West Stand A (reserved for visitng fans) and in West Stand C, ALL tickets to the other sectors of the Stadium have now been sold out. Fans are being reminded that while all areas in the West Stand are on an allocated seating basis. The Millennium, North and South Stands are on a Free Seating (first come first served) basis. Indicative Signage and Stadium Stewards will be on site on match day to ensure the smooth orientation for those attending the match. ·         It is very important for Online Ticket Buyers to ensure that they have printed their ticket/s and that each person attending the match is in posession of a print-out, which print-outs are to be presented at the turnstiles upon entrance to the stadium. In case of any difficulty, online buyers are requested to contact Customer Support Line 2784 2538 or e-mail tickets@mfa.com.mt  Security checks and body searches:The police will conduct security checks and body searches to spectators outside the turnstiles entrances to ensure that:Spectators enter the correct part of the stadium;Spectators do not bring any objects/substances into the stadium that are likely to be used in acts of violence, or alcohol or fireworks of any kind;Access is forbidden to known or potential troublemakers, or persons who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.Flags and banners will not be permitted if attached to solid sticks, etc. etc.. Pre-Match entertainment: There will be a 50 minute pre-match entertainment programme starting at 19.15hrs and which will be compered by Colin Fitz with the participation of Tensihia and Ivan Grech from Wintermoods.
