Austria training camp underway for the Malta National Team at the Bad Kleinkirchheim training facilities after touch down at Klagenfurt airport on Thursday afternoon. First session followed later in the day on perfect pitch condition very close to hotel where players are located. All 29 National Team players in the group selected by head coach Devis Mangia all looked in great shape and good spirit. Focus already on for this group of players as they look ahead and resolute to make the best out of this training camp in Austria prior to upcoming challenges, with first of three international friendlies for the boys on Sunday swiftly beckoning. One more in-depth session on Friday prior to MD-1, leading to Northern Ireland friendly on Sunday at 6pm at the Wörthersee Stadion. Meanwhile, the British side facing Malta on Sunday will turn up in a strong formation as players with Premier League experience are likely to feature in this international friendly. Burnley keeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Craig Cathcart, a former Manchester United defender who this season got promoted back to the big time of English football with Watford, and Stuart Dallas, a key figure this campaign just over for Leeds United, together with Manchester United’s midfield wonderkid Ethan Galbraith, are all likely to feature against Devis Mangia’s side in three days time. Pictures – Stephen Gatt (Malta FA).
