Malta drawn in Group D for FIFAe Nations Cup

Malta were drawn in Group D for the upcoming FIFAe Nations Cup 2021 to be held in August. A group comprising six Nations and Malta having to take the likes of Luxembourg, Romania, Bulgaria, Germany, Northern Ireland and the Czech Republic. Luxembourg and Romania are deemed as very tough for our boys as they so far amassed more ranking points than Malta. Malta’s other opponents in this Group D are more likely to be winnable encounters for gamers Christian Spiteri (Santa Lucia FC), Gianluca Sant (Żejtun Corinthians) and Shaun Galea representing Ħamrun Spartans. The three of them have been preparing tirelessly already to stay sharp ahead of this unique opportunity to represent ttheir country at this level in esports that is growing globally in a significant manner. A total of 60 National Teams will participate in this FIFAe Nations Series 2021 to take place in Copenhagen, Denmark from the 20th to the 22nd of August. This final tournament will pit 24 teams against each other, three players per team on the biggest stage of competitive FIFA. Malta will be one of 31 European countries in this highly esteemed tournament. At the inaugural tournament in 2019, involving 20 National Teams in London, France defeated Argentina in the final to claim the title and the glory of the first ever Champion in this battle of Nations.
