The Renovation of the Training Grounds Pitches in Ta' Qali is underway, which project shall be completed by the third week of August. These works go in line with a series of other infrastructural projects scheduled by the Malta FA for the coming months. This renovation of training pitches in Ta' Qali has the aim to modify them to the highest quality pitches for professional football. Having been built in the 1980s, the training pitches require significant investment to improve their performance throughout the year. It's the aim of the Association to provide a cutting-edge practice for the National Teams at a single location, whereby providing them with an inspirational environment to excel in sync with the Malta FA strategy. Works underway include the removal of the existing pitch and the construction of a deep green colour pitch with new surface installed and maintained throughout the year. Other works include the Modification to Existing Floodlighting System together with Ancillary Civil Works. This project is a further proof of the endeavour the Association is resolute to undertake to improve the country's footballing infrastructure across the board and in the years to come.
