Borg, Vella and Sciberras make 200th top-flight appearance

Adrian Borg (Sirens)In the match against Żejtun Corinthians on Sunday, Sirens defender Adrian Borg made his 200th Premier League appearance. Borg, a Mosta FC product, made his senior appearance with the club in 2006 in the First Division. Before joining Sirens last season, the 31-year-old also played for Ħamrun Spartans, Pembroke Athleta and St Andrews in the Premier Division. Terrence Vella (Gudja United)In the match against Valletta on Sunday, Terrence Vella made his 200th Premier League appearance, scoring Gudja United’s third goal moments after coming on as a substitute. Vella, aged 30, began his senior career with Gudja in the Second Division (2006) but made his top-flight debut with Birkirkara during season 2010/11. He also had spells with Mosta, Ħamrun Spartans, back with Birkirkara, Naxxar Lions, Qormi, Senglea Athletic, Floriana and this season, for the first time, back with Gudja. The goal against Valletta was his 32nd in the Premier Division. Luke Sciberras (Tarxien Rainbows)On Saturday against Birkirkara, Tarxien midfielder Luke Sciberras also competed 200 appearances in the Premier League. The 31-year-old is a San Ġwann product and made his senior debut for the club in 2006 in the First Division. Sciberras made his top-flight debut with Birkirkara two years later and also played in the Maltese Premiership for Qormi, Balzan, Ħamrun Spartans, St Andrews and Sirens before joining Tarxien last summer.
