Statement – Rudger Scerri suspended with immediate effect

The Malta Football Association has taken cognizance of the criminal action taken against Rudger Scerri, a member of the Attard FC committee who today pleaded guilty to match-fixing charges before the Court of Magistrates. As a result, the Malta FA has today suspended Mr Scerri from any football activity with immediate effect. The Association’s Integrity Department will be liaising with the Police in view of any further disciplinary sanctions which may be taken by the competent adjudicating body of the Association following further investigation in accordance with the regulations of the Association.
