Cohen caps 500th Premier League appearance with goal

He netted Gżira United’s second goal in the 6-1 victory over Mosta.   50 – Jose Junior Fernando’s winning goal for Żejtun Corinthians against Birkirkara (3-2) was the 50th scored at the Centenary Stadium. 100 – BOV Premier League teams made use of 100 Maltese players on matchday 4. 150 – Jurgen Degabriele played his 150th game for Hibernians in the 1-1 draw against Valletta. He made his debut on 15 September, 2013, against Rabat Ajax (4-1). 300 – Before the end of the summer transfer window, Ryan Fenech rejoined Valletta from Birkirkara. He became the 300th player to play this season, coming on for Santiago Malano in the 77th minute of the 1-1 draw against Hibernians. 500 – Gżira United midfielder Andrew Cohen reached his 500th appearance in the BOV Premier League – an excellent achievement. He made his debut on 15 February, 2000, in Hibernians’ 1-1 draw against Gozo FC. He played 424 matches for the Paolites and 76 for the Maroons, scoring 148 goals. Cohen was on target last Friday, converting a penalty in Gżira United’s 6-1 win over Mosta. In total, Cohen has scored 33 penalties... the first one was netted against Marsaxlokk on 15 April, 2003.
