Attard striker Nicholas Schembri is the leading scorer in the BOV Third Division League. He is enjoying his best season with 19 goals for leaders Attard before the football competitions were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Schembri, who joined Attard from First Division side Swieqi United at the start of the season, has played a pivotal role for his team as Attard have opened a seven-point lead over Għargħur, Siġġiewi and Kirkop United at the top of the table. With 19 goals in 17 matches, his ratio stands at 1.12 per game and one goal every 80.47 minutes. Schembri has scored in seven successive matches including four braces. The 23-year-old also played the highest number of minutes – 1,529 – only one short of completing the maximum total of minutes.
