Malta futsal team beat Bulgaria with three second-half goals

International Futsal Friendly – 20/01/2020 MALTA        3BULGARIA 1 The Malta futsal team secured a psychological boost in their preparations for the upcoming UEFA Futsal Euro tournament as they had the better of Bulgaria 3-1 in the second friendly match, played on Monday at the National Sports School. After drawing the first friendly 2-2 on Sunday, the Maltese side, led by coach Zeljko Anicic, reacted strongly in the second half after trailing 1-0 at half-time. Firaz Aboulezz equalised at the start of the second period after receiving a fine cross from captain Mark Zammit with Dylan Musù putting the home team ahead for the first time with three minutes and 36 second left, curling a free-kick past Bulgaria goalkeeper Stanislav Ivanov and into the top corner. A minute later, Malta wrapped up their win thanks to Marwan Telissi’s half-volley. Bulgaria’s first-half goal was scored by Yulian Spasov. In the UEFA Futsal Euro Tournment,  to be staged at the National Sports School, Malta will kick off their commitments against Sweden on Wednesday, January 29 at 17.00 before taking on Greece the following day, also at 17.00.
