Luxol SA maintain perfect run in Elite Futsal League

Champions Luxol St Andrews extended their perfect start to the season as, in the only Elite League match played last week, they won 5-1 against the University of Malta Futsal Team. Carl Azzopardi, Andy Mangion, Nicola Del Re, Mark Zammit and Maicon Silva netted for Luxol who went in for half-time 2-0 ahead before sealing the issue with three more goals in the second half. Melvin Borg scored UOM’s consolation goal. Luxol’s eighth successive win lifted them nine points clear of Valletta in the standings. CHRISTMAS CUP Saturday afternoon heralded the start of the Christmas Cup.
