Several players in the Maltese leagues have reached important milestones in their careers in recent weeks.

100 PREMIER LEAGUE APPEARANCES FOR BELTRE, TABONE

Last Sunday, Valletta wing-back Enmy Manuel Pena Beltre made his 100th appearance in the Premier Division against Gudja United (1-0). The 27-year-old’s first Maltese club was St Andrews during season 2015/16. Beltre also had a short spell with Mosta before moving to Valletta in 2018. He plays for the Dominican Republic national team.

In Sunday’s second BOV Premier League match, Tarxien Rainbows defender Matthew Tabone, 27, also played his 100th match in the top flight (Balzan won the match 3-1). The former Malta U-17, U-19 and U-21 international made his Premier League debut with Hibernians during season 2009/10 and also played for Vittoriosa Stars and St George’s in the First Division before joining his current club Tarxien Rainbows in 2014.
