Leaders Birkirkara and Hibernians registered the biggest wins on matchday 11 after defeating Raiders (Luxol) and Fgura United 7-0 and 7-1 respectively.  Meanwhile, Mġarr United extended their positive run with a 3-0 victory over Swieqi United to consolidate second place. Champions and title favourites Birkirkara broke little sweat in overcoming Raiders (Luxol), scoring seven goals without reply. Ann-Marie Said opened the scoring on minute 15 before Raina Giusti and Kailey Willis made it 3-0 before half-time. After the change of ends, Birkirkara, who have a perfect record after 11 matches, continued to dominate proceedings, increasing their advantage with goals from Ylenia Carabott, Stephania Farrugia, from the penalty spot, and a brace from Kelly Agius Pace. Mġarr United saw off Swieqi United's challenge, winning 3-0. Young forward Haley Bugeja was once again the Greens’ main threat as she scored twice, early in the game and in the closing minutes. In between, Amber Grech had made it 2-0 to all but seal Mġarr’s win. Hibernians eased past neighbours Fgura United, winning 7-1. The Paolites stormed into a three-goal lead with a brace from Kayleigh Chetcuti and a goal from Nicole Borg. On 37 minutes, Aleksandra Marinkovic narrowed the deficit to two goals but Jade Flask swiftly put the Paolites three goals ahead just before half-time. Borg extended the lead before Dorianne Theuma added two more goals in the closing stages. Elsewhere, a fourth-minute goal from Kathleen Ellul was enough for Kirkop to edge Mosta in Thursday’s encounter. STANDINGS (after 11 matches)Birkirkara 33 points; Mġarr United 27; Hibernians 22; Kirkop United 16; Swieqi United, Raiders 10; Mosta 5; Fgura United 2.
