Malta FA mourns passing of Herbert Messina Ferrante

The Maltese football community is mourning the loss of Dr Herbert Messina Ferrante who passed away on Monday, aged 80. A dental surgeon by profession, Dr Messina Ferrante served as a football administrator for many years. He was Vice-President of the Association after having served as Vice-President and President of Sliema Wanderers FC. He served also on a number of Boards and Committees within the Malta FA. “Dr Messina Ferrante is synonymous with football administration. He was always very proactive and willing to serve in different roles throughout the years. I am deeply saddened by his loss,” Norman Darmanin Demajo, the President of the Malta Football Association, said. Dr Messina Ferrante’s most recent role was that of Member of the Appeals Board of the Association. The Malta FA extends its profound condolences to the family and relatives of Dr Messina Ferrante during this difficult time.
