Cohen reaches 140-goal mark in 20 top-flight seasons

10 – Balzan’s third goal in their 3-1 victory over Sliema Wanderers, scored by Andrija Majdevac, was the 10th goal goalkeeper Jake Galea has conceded this season. These goals were scored by players of four different nationalities – Maltese (4), Brazil (2), Serbia (1), Senegal (1) .... and two own goals.

40 – With his appearance in the 3-3 draw against Gżira United, Mosta striker Davy Claude Angan N’Guessan, from Ivory Coast, increased the total of player nationalities in the BOV Premier League to 40.


100 – Valletta’s Shaun Dimech was the 100th substitute to figure at the Centenary Stadium this season. He replaced Santiago Malano in the 80th minute during the champions' 7-0 victory over Tarxien Rainbows.


140 – Gżira United captain Andrew Cohen netted a brace in their 3-3 draw against Mosta, taking his total to 140 goals in the top flight in 20 seasons. Cohen’s goals also took Gżira’s total to 240 goals in the domestic league.


200 – Gżira United defender Rodolfo Soares played his 200th game in the BOV Premier League in the 3-3 draw against Mosta.


250 – Qormi’s 2-1 defeat against Birkirkara was their 250th match in the Premier League.


470 – Ħamrun Spartans’ 3-2 victory over Pietà Hotspurs was their 470th in the top flight. It was also their 10th win against Pietà in 26 direct encounters.


500 – Birkirkara’s 2-1 win over Qormi was their 500th in the top flight... their first ever win was against Floriana (1-0) on 30th November, 1952.


900 – Pietà Hotspurs defender Antonio Orlando de Queiroz Macedo, and Senglea’s Fernando Salvati have amassed 900 minutes of playing time this season in last weekend’s matches.
