The St Theresa College Girls Secondary School organises an annual fund-raising activity in aid of the Community Chest Fund. As part of this activity the college organised a penalty-shoot out with the collaboration of the MFA Technical Centre. This  was held on Friday 16 November, and for the occasion the MFA sent national team players, Roderick Briffa and Ylenia Carabott as well as Mark Gatt, the Women’s U-19 team coach as representatives of the association.  After the shoot-out, which sparked a lot of excitement among the girls present, the college was presented with a football bearing the signatures of the women’s national team and two footballs to be kept by the school as equipment. In a letter of thanks the college, on behalf of the students, expressed its appreciation for the MFA’s assistance during the activity. One could notice that the students were extremely pleased. Praise was also bestowed on the guests for their forthcoming disposition. A school representative said that the signed football was a centre of attraction and the school was appreciative of this token. In this way, more people could be attracted towards Malta’s national teams. Thanks to the MFA and through the good services of Grassroots, Youth Development & EducationDepartment the event on 16 November was a success.
